The Husqvarna Viking - 3D
DIGITIZING
 3D
Digitizing is an optional module in the Husqvarna Viking
3D Embroidery System. It is also included in Husqvarna
Viking 3D Professional.
Turn your favorite pictures into embroideries and see them
on the screen exactly as you will sew them. Work with images
from your scanner or digital camera, use clip-art or create
your own pictures with the built-in Drawing Tools.
With the 3D Digitizing system, you
can:
Create Your
Pictures
Open your picture on the screen. Add designs, letters and
MiniPics if you want. Stitches appear in 3D as you create.
You can filter your picture to improve blemishes, remove
color areas with few pixels, thicken lines to make them more
suitable, separate color areas and change color pictures
into shades of gray. You can also adjust brightness and
contrast or create interesting results with the filters or
effects.
 QuickStitch™
Features
QuickStitch™ is the easy way to create stitches. Click in an
area and stitches are produced automatically in an instant!
Choose to embellish your designs with machine stitches or
motifs, running, double or triple outline stitches, machine
stitches as motif lines, borders with any combination of
straight lines and curves or appliqué.
Fill Patterns and Techniques
Create your own fill patterns from any .bmp picture. Emboss
fill areas with your personal highlights. Embellish your
designs with your choice of hundreds of motifs and use
gradient density to produce beautiful shading effects.
QuickTrace Features
The QuickTrace feature automatically creates stitches that
follow a continuous line (Patent). Choose to create a single
trace, double trace, quadruple trace or satin borders with
constant width.
Freehand Features
The FreeHand™ features allow you to work with your stitches
in detail. Embellish your designs with machine stitches or
motifs.
Editing Features
View color layers and object types for ease of editing.
Enlarge, reduce, copy, cut, or paste all or parts of your
design. Mirror design areas horizontally or vertically and
rotate to any degree. Resize areas with automatic stitch
density adjustment. Insert and delete objects and points.

computer. Work with images from your scanner or digital

monogram for a personal touch.
Cross Stitch Wizard
Design traditional motifs on the screen or let the Cross
Stitcher Wizard create the design for you automatically. Set
the hoop and cross size, choose the desired thread database
and the number of colors. With just a few clicks you have a
unique cross stitch embroidery.

Choose from full, half, quarter, mini
and half-height or half-width crosses.
Use fixed or free backstitch to outline your embroidery and
French knots for the perfect accent.
Create petit point, needlepoint and traditional Gobelin,
Rice Stitch, Assisi or Blackwork designs.

View your designs in block, 2D or 3D display as they will be
sewn on Aida fabric. Over 120 designs are included with your
Husqvarna Viking 3D Cross Stitcher. Adjust the number of
threads between 2 and 12 to simulate embroidery floss
strands. Set cross size from 1 mm to 20 mm in length.
Add Elegant Lettering
Personalize tablecloths, napkins, towels and linens with
classic cross-stitch text. Choose from many backstitch and
cross-stitch fonts, including Multi-color fonts, or select
any TrueType ® or OpenType ® font on your computer.
Choose bold or italic options and any letter size for
complete freedom while creating. Options include crosses,

is a stand-alone program in the Husqvarna Viking 3D
Embroidery System.
It is also included in the Husqvarna Viking 3D Embroidery
Studio and the Husqvarna Viking 3D Professional.
With 3D Organizer, you can:
Find your designs and pictures easily.
Search for and display your designs by name, key words in
the notes, hoop size, stitch count, date modified, format,
number of colors and other characteristics.
Browse them in different sizes and print selected groups as
full worksheets or thumbnail catalogues.

Print a 3D design worksheet to use as a color sewing guide
and as a template for placing embroideries on garments.
Place 4, 8 or 32 designs on each A4/letter size page to
create an easy reference library using the catalog printing

Convert
embroideries between many formats
Convert your designs between major formats: .vp3, .vip, .pcs,
.pec, .pes version 2-5, .hus, .shv, .dhv (load only), .jef,
.sew, .exp, .dst, .10*. You can convert embroideries from
.zip files too! Select multiple designs and formats at once
for batch conversion. Even change embroideries to show
threads from your desired thread manufacturer.
Convert embroideries to images
It’s easy to create thumbnail or real size images of your
designs. And a simple click will convert your favorite
design into desktop wallpaper for your computer.
Create a Personal HTML Catalog
With just a few clicks, you can create a gallery of your
selected embroideries. Make thumbnail images and large-scale
close-up pages of your designs. Choose from 150 styles for
your personal website of designs.
